Peony Pink Vanguard

A Peony that I secretly have fallen in love with a little bit. Pink Vanguard is most certainly not the Peony with the most beautiful flowers, but this doesn’t apply for her delicate color, because that does stand out. During the selection of this beautiful collection of Peonies, I have visited 5 to 6 Peony display gardens. During one my first visits barely any Peonies were blooming, but the Pink Vanguard already showed some cheerfully blossoming flowers. What makes her special is that she did this until, well actually, my last visit. Every time, she drew my attention with her abundantly cheerful flowers. Every stem has at least two or three side flowers that all open one by one. These late bloomers are mostly singular flowers with attractive open hearts. Not as layered as the main flower, but ‘wow’ she remains shining for a long time. This Peony will definitely end up in my own garden.
