Amaryllis Mystica

“It seems like everyone wants this Amaryllis from me,” grower Ben van Geest said to me when I went for a cup of coffee with him. He wished he had three times as many.

I can understand it very well, there is something exotic about this Amaryllis. Mystica is clearly a descendant of the species Amaryllis papillio, which originates from the tropical rainforests. Like no other, this Amaryllis knows how to translate the wilderness of the grand South American Amazon.

Mystica is a richly flowering Amaryllis with larger and fuller flowers than the papillio and other cybister Amaryllis.
