"This exotic bulb is named after the capital of Bolivia, the country were most likely the parents of this Amaryllis come from. Species Amaryllises are growing in the north of Chile, Peru and Bolivia.
La Paz is a direct offspring of the species Amaryllis. She is very easy to flower and grows rather tall but because of her loose blossoms she seldom tips over."

Amaryllis
The biggest reason I love the Amaryllis so much is because she always performs well. Always? Yes always. No kidding, if you leave them in the box they will still bloom. It seems that it can’t go wrong.
Planting Amaryllis:
Planting an amaryllis is quite easy. Plant the amaryllis bulb in a pot that is half filled with soil, but in such a way that the neck of the bulb protrudes above the soil. Make sure that the soil remains somewhat moist and place the pot in a warm, but not too sunny place, then within six to eight weeks there will be a beautiful amaryllis in your living room.
It is even possible to plant an amaryllis bulb without using soil. Then it needs a vase in which the bulb can stand upright. This way the roots can hang in the water.
