"This light-hearted Amaryllis is a colour variant of the dark red Amaryllis Double Delicious. It is not uncommon for flower bulbs, such as tulips, hyacinths and daffodils to spontaneously change colour. But it is less common with the Amaryllis.
The advantage for the grower of finding a colour variant, or a variation as they call it, is that with a variation of a species you know exactly what you are dealing with. After all, all the characteristics regarding growth, flowering time and bulb quality are known from the mother plant. The only difference between mother and daughter is the colour. The grower knows exactly how to handle such varieties and this is a great advantage compared to a new hybrid that comes to his nursery as a seedling. After all, he no longer has to figure out how to best grow, store and propagate this variety.
Doublet's mother is Double Delicious, a beautiful red Amaryllis that has more than earned its spurs as a potted plant for the living room. Doublet behaves exactly the same, only its colours are more festive and frivolous. Maybe it's an idea to try them together."

Amaryllis
The biggest reason I love the Amaryllis so much is because she always performs well. Always? Yes always. No kidding, if you leave them in the box they will still bloom. It seems that it can’t go wrong.
Planting Amaryllis:
Planting an amaryllis is quite easy. Plant the amaryllis bulb in a pot that is half filled with soil, but in such a way that the neck of the bulb protrudes above the soil. Make sure that the soil remains somewhat moist and place the pot in a warm, but not too sunny place, then within six to eight weeks there will be a beautiful amaryllis in your living room.
It is even possible to plant an amaryllis bulb without using soil. Then it needs a vase in which the bulb can stand upright. This way the roots can hang in the water.
