"Double Delicious has been one of the most popular double red Amaryllises in the Fluwel assortment for years now. It is not just her bright colour that make her stand out in a crowd, it is also the symmetry of her petals that make her look very sophisticated. The sometimes-there white feather in her flower only makes the red stand out more.
An interesting fact is that there is also a very nice variety on this beautiful Amaryllis: Doublet.

You could say that Doublet is Double Delicious but in a different colour. It might be nice to plant them together."

Amaryllis

The biggest reason I love the Amaryllis so much is because she always performs well. Always? Yes always. No kidding, if you leave them in the box they will still bloom. It seems that it can’t go wrong.

Planting Amaryllis:
Planting an amaryllis is quite easy. Plant the amaryllis bulb in a pot that is half filled with soil, but in such a way that the neck of the bulb protrudes above the soil. Make sure that the soil remains somewhat moist and place the pot in a warm, but not too sunny place, then within six to eight weeks there will be a beautiful amaryllis in your living room.

It is even possible to plant an amaryllis bulb without using soil. Then it needs a vase in which the bulb can stand upright. This way the roots can hang in the water.
