Keukenhof Reading Spring is here 3 minutes

Spring is here

Dear reader,

You may not be surprised to see that my father is still very busy in this time of the year, so you’ll have to do with another newsletter from me this week. All of the flower fields in the area are starting to be at their best, and there is much to see and to do. I think that this Easter weekend will bring a lot of people who are going  for a bicycle ride, which means we’ll be able to watch them take pictures in front of our house through our living room windows :)

I do have to admit that I do not know what I should be writing about. I feel like I have already told you most of the obvious things, like the flower fields and the spring weather. Last week, I think I wrote something about this being the right moment to plant your Dahlias and other summer-blooming flower bulbs so you can keep enjoying a colourful garden long after spring has finished, but I think most of our usual readers already know all about that. If you don’t have your Dahlias yet, I will tell you that the collection on the website is bigger than ever—my dad did not hold back when he was putting together the assortment, so I am sure you will still find something that is perfect for you if you haven’t gotten everything yet.

I also wanted to repeat something I said last week about the Keukenhof being open again. Keukenhof always has contributions from flower bulb growers from all over The Netherlands, and Fluwel is one of them. If you are still visiting Keukenhof, we would love it if you took a picture of yourself with Fluwel’s contribution (there is a sign!) and send it to info@fluwel.nl. We would love to see our readers visiting Keukenhof, so we will be doing a raffle among everyone who sends in a picture to get someone a gift card to the web shop.

I am not sure if my dad will be back next week. Hopefully he is, otherwise I think I will have to start telling you all about my cat.

Kind regards,
Pien
