Every time I see this Tulip, I walk up to her to see if it really is Palmyra. Every time you run into her this Tulip succeeds to look different. Sunlight has a lot of influence on her, it is like puts on another dress once the sun starts to shine. When it is cloudy, she shows a rich chestnut brown colour. When the sunlight touches her, she shows a fantastic colouration of magenta, indigo and vermilion with all sorts of indescribable shades in between.

Palmyra; a Tulip that brings a lot of excitement. Do try to combine het with other Tulips, she is very useful for creating combinations.

Tulips

Of all bulbs, the tulip is the best known. Tulip bulbs are widely traded and even play a role in Dutch history. The plant was introduced in the Golden Age in our country.

Planting tulips:
They thrive in full sun but will tolerate light shade. Tulips hate wet feet and require well-drained soil. Never plant tulips in a single row; for best results, plant them in groups of at least 15-20 bulbs. They also make excellent container plants and are great as cut flowers.
