If you are looking for a late-blooming white tulip to put in your garden, look no further. Maureen is the best. It often still blooms beautifully after the second week of May, and makes for a perfect transition from the colourful spring border to the summery display of perennials. This tall tulip grows exceptionally well with all the perennials with green leaves, such as daylilies, writes Jacqueline van der Kloet in her book. It blooms later in May and it prolongs the tulip flowering season in the spring garden.

Tulips

Of all bulbs, the tulip is the best known. Tulip bulbs are widely traded and even play a role in Dutch history. The plant was introduced in the Golden Age in our country.

Planting tulips:
They thrive in full sun but will tolerate light shade. Tulips hate wet feet and require well-drained soil. Never plant tulips in a single row; for best results, plant them in groups of at least 15-20 bulbs. They also make excellent container plants and are great as cut flowers.
