There are several selections and seedlings of the tulipa clusiana, a true species tulip that grows in the wild. Tinka is one of the best as far as coulour and size are concerned. In my experience this tulip perennializes extremely well. The photograph shows a bunch that blooms for the fifth year in a row. Each year it seems to come back more strongly and fully. A highly successful tulip.
