At first sight Backpacker is a common purple Tulip that does not draw too much attention. But now I know her for a couple of years, and I start to fall in love with her. When I see Backpacker, she always looks tidy, performs well and is good looking. Every time I walk up to her to admire het her and take pictures. She blooms somewhat later in the season;
Backpacker is in full bloom when the cherries and the apple trees are starting to show their blossom.
Tulips
Of all bulbs, the tulip is the best known. Tulip bulbs are widely traded and even play a role in Dutch history. The plant was introduced in the Golden Age in our country.
Planting tulips:
They thrive in full sun but will tolerate light shade. Tulips hate wet feet and require well-drained soil. Never plant tulips in a single row; for best results, plant them in groups of at least 15-20 bulbs. They also make excellent container plants and are great as cut flowers.
