It's been at least 10 years since the girls were peeling this Tulip in the summer. What's it called? No name yet, if you can think of a nice name, please do. What does it look like? White with red spots and stripes, look at a picture on my phone here. One Direction, we call her One Direction, we're fans of them and they have red and white in their logo. Yes, we will. And we're going to write to them that we're naming a Tulip after them and then they'll invite us to their concert in the Ziggo Dome to come and baptize the Tulip, and then we'll get VIP treatment and then and then and then... It was a party in our barn and indeed, they wrote a letter to the then wildly popular boy band and told them the whole story but unfortunately, never a response and invitation to the concert. It was 'one-way' traffic, so to speak. That doesn't change the fact that this Tulip One Direction is a particularly beautiful and also good Tulip for the garden. Fairly early flowering, fresh in color and extremely durable. She is also a sturdy tulip that does very well in flower boxes and pots.

Tulips

Of all bulbs, the tulip is the best known. Tulip bulbs are widely traded and even play a role in Dutch history. The plant was introduced in the Golden Age in our country.

Planting tulips:
They thrive in full sun but will tolerate light shade. Tulips hate wet feet and require well-drained soil. Never plant tulips in a single row; for best results, plant them in groups of at least 15-20 bulbs. They also make excellent container plants and are great as cut flowers.
