Golden Splendor is, like African Queen an old American trumpet lily from the fifties. These excellent garden lilies became older and their vigour was decreasing. But a Dutch specialist lily grower started new stocks by selecting the best plants and brought those to a lab to make them free of viruses. He succeeded very well and is now offering superb healthy bulbs again.
