The Galanthus Beluga, Polar Bear and Snow Fox are selections from the Galanthus elwesii. This Galanthus elwesii that occurs in the wild does not always look exactly the same. In fact, if you look closely you will see many differences in the flowers. Grower Patrick van der Berg from Breezand in North Holland selected these three varieties from a large batch of Galanthus elwesii more than 20 years ago because they were stronger, healthier and more beautiful than the rest. Patrick raised these three varieties from 1 bulb and after a long wait I can finally offer them to you. Three gems of Snowdrops, really worth planting in your garden. There is a good chance that they will herald spring in your garden for decades.
The Galanthus Snow Fox blooms first, if it is not freezing you can see her flowers appearing in early February, the Beluga comes a week or two later. Last, it is already March, the Polar Bear comes out of her hibernation. A fantastic gallantly blooming flower trio.
