The special thing about this snowdrop are its leaves, which are slightly wider and brighter than those of the common snowdrop. Its flower is a little whiter. In my garden Galanthus elwesii perennializes – a thing I’ve never seen other snowdrops do. Its bulbs are stronger and less sensitive to dehydration.
