Purple Fox is always a Dahlia that always knows how to attract attention when it is blooming somewhere or is planted in a show garden. Her flower shape is not really special, she just has a beautiful flower. But her flowers are always with many. A real 'no nonsense' Dahlia that does what you can expect from a Dahlia; bloom until she drops.
Purple is not really the right description of her color in my opinion, fuchsia would be more appropriate. Her name may not be right, but the Dahlia is fortunately good, very good even.

Planting and caring for dahlia tubers
Plant dahlia tubers in spring once the risk of frost has passed and the soil has warmed. Choose a sunny position with nutrient-rich, well-drained soil. Place the tubers with the old stem or growing point facing upwards and cover them with approximately 5 cm of soil. Depending on the mature height of the variety, leave around 30 to 50 cm between the tubers.
Plant dahlias in a generously sized container with good drainage. They need regular watering during warm summer weather, but the tubers should not remain in wet soil for prolonged periods.

Dahlias are planted in spring after the last night frost, once the soil has warmed sufficiently. We recommend waiting until the soil temperature is around 15°C before planting.

Yes. Dahlia tubers can be started in pots indoors from March in a bright position. Once the risk of night frost has passed, the plants can be moved outside and planted in the garden.
For several Dahlia varieties, we recommend regularly removing faded flowers and seed heads. This encourages the plant to continue producing new flowers throughout the season.
