I know, I know, there are other Dahlia's looking like Loe's but I am still going to plant her in my garden. At first glance, Loe's may be a run-of-the-mill Dahlia but if you plant her you will see that she has more to offer than the average Dahlia. Her color is more striking than most photos show and her abundance of flowers is truly phenomenal. Once the first flowers come into bloom it is already rustling with buds that are eager to come into bloom too. The beautiful Loe's comes from the breeding stable of Peter Komen and if you are familiar with Peter's Dahlias you know that he has set the bar very high and that only the best is good enough. Loe's is a winner!

Dahlias
The Dahlia truly deserves every bit of love she receives. Every gardener should be placing her om a pedestal: Dahlias carry flowers for a long time, and in a large number. Even when autumn is approaching, you don’t need to worry: the Dahlia will be there to give your garden those last few rays of sunshine.
Planting dahlias:
Dahlias are summer bloomers and should be planted in spring, after the last night frost, when the soil temperature is at least 15°C. Plant the tubers about 40 cm apart for tall varieties and 30 cm for shorter varieties. For pots, choose very large pots, because dahlias need a lot of water in the warm summer months. Plant them just under the soil, about 2 cm deep.
