What a lovely Dahlia this is; large cream-coloured flowers with a dash of vanilla, finger-licking good.
In the well-maintained garden of Kasteel Keukenhof, where I am a loyal visitor in late summer, La Luna stole my heart. When the Dahlias bloom I try to take a look in this garden every two weeks and every time I went there La Luna was blooming beautifully.
Not with a lot of flowers like some Dahlias can, just 2 or 3 per plant, but with color that makes you happy. Always cheerful and always fresh and bright.
If you look closely you will see that the creamy white is separated from the bright yellow in the flower, but from a distance it lives up to its name; like a bright full moon in a cloudless night sky.
