If you walk in the garden on a sunny summer day and are quiet for a moment you can hear where the Kelsey Dahlias are, they do make a sound. Go away, you're kidding, sorry but April 1st is long gone.
Yet it is so. As soon as the sun shines for a moment, you can hear the buzzing and fluttering of bees, bumblebees, butterflies and all sorts of other pollen and nectar collectors, dancing in large numbers around her flowers.
Besides being friendly to insects, these Dahlias are also a feast for the eyes. Kelsey Sunshine is the more cheerful of the two with its fresh colour, Kelsey Annie Joy has a more sultry character and radiates a bit more warmth.
If you really want to enjoy these Dahlias, plant them mixed, a feast for both the eye and the insects.

Dahlias
The Dahlia truly deserves every bit of love she receives. Every gardener should be placing her om a pedestal: Dahlias carry flowers for a long time, and in a large number. Even when autumn is approaching, you don’t need to worry: the Dahlia will be there to give your garden those last few rays of sunshine.
Planting dahlias:
Dahlias are summer bloomers and should be planted in spring, after the last night frost, when the soil temperature is at least 15°C. Plant the tubers about 40 cm apart for tall varieties and 30 cm for shorter varieties. For pots, choose very large pots, because dahlias need a lot of water in the warm summer months. Plant them just under the soil, about 2 cm deep.
