A new generation of Camassias has emerged: the ‘Candle’ Camassias. These ‘Candle’ Camassias are characterised by sturdier plants with larger flowers that bloom for longer. But the best thing about them is that they add a touch more colour to the current range of Camassias. This ‘Blue Candle’ displays a colour as if the sky had fallen to earth – what a stunning shade of cobalt blue!
If you’re not yet familiar with Camassia, it’s definitely worth giving them a try, as Camassia, just like the bluebell, is as reliable as a perennial. Plant them once and you can enjoy them for years to come. We already have three varieties on offer – this ‘Blue Candle’, the ‘Sweet Candle’ and the ‘Violet Candle’ – but the grower has announced that more will be available in the coming years.
