"“Diamonds are forever, They are all I need to please me, They can stimulate and tease me” is what Shirley Bassy sings in the title song of one of the many legendary Bond movies. Diamonds are forever is what I often say when I walk by Rosy Diamond or her darker sister Blue Diamond on our trial field. Because their blossoms last for an incredible long period of time. I love these two Diamond tulips and not just because they last long. I think it is their simplicity and classic shape of an ordinary double tulip in combination with the colour spectrum shown by the transparent flower petals. During the aging of the flowers there also appears a pretty silvery glare on the flowers, I really enjoy these tulips."

Tulips

Of all bulbs, the tulip is the best known. Tulip bulbs are widely traded and even play a role in Dutch history. The plant was introduced in the Golden Age in our country.

Planting tulips:
They thrive in full sun but will tolerate light shade. Tulips hate wet feet and require well-drained soil. Never plant tulips in a single row; for best results, plant them in groups of at least 15-20 bulbs. They also make excellent container plants and are great as cut flowers.
