Spontaneously originated from Dynasty. Where Dynasty shows a combination of white and pink, Tom Pouce has a warm yellow underneath the pretty pink of her flowers. Dynasty is a good tulip for every garden and this sweetly colored family member has inherited those good qualities, therefore making it a welcome addition to our collection of garden tulips. The name Tom Pouce comes from a popular Dutch pastry with yellow cream and pink glazing. Once a year, every bakery changes their “tompouce” from pink glazing to orange… in name of the King’s birthday. Those crazy Dutchies.
