A nice and fluffy pointed lily-like flower on a thin stem that seems to be waving at you all day long. The white heart of the flower illuminates the purple perianth from within, providing the flower with a striking presence.
This beautiful purple tulip pairs particularly well with Fritillaria imperialis crown hybrids, small white daffodils and other purple tulips. In her book, Jacqueline van der Kloet describes it as a reliable perennial tulip.

Planting tulips:
They thrive in full sun but will tolerate light shade. Tulips hate wet feet and require well-drained soil. Never plant tulips in a single row; for best results, plant them in groups of at least 15-20 bulbs. They also make excellent container plants and are great as cut flowers.
