A very special tulip with foliage nicer than the Hosta aureomarginata. Years ago a friendly bulb grower in Egmond fount 1 plant in his stock of Purissima. It happens more often that in a stock of tulips spontaneously a plant appears with a yellow or white coloured rim on the leaves. But as nice as on the Purissima Blonde I have never seen before. Finally, after years of growing, the stock is large enough to offer some bulbs. When you fancy this tulip be quick, availability is limited.
Tulips
Of all bulbs, the tulip is the best known. Tulip bulbs are widely traded and even play a role in Dutch history. The plant was introduced in the Golden Age in our country.
Planting tulips:
They thrive in full sun but will tolerate light shade. Tulips hate wet feet and require well-drained soil. Never plant tulips in a single row; for best results, plant them in groups of at least 15-20 bulbs. They also make excellent container plants and are great as cut flowers.
