Too bad she does not last longer as a cut flower’ is what grower Peter Veldman told me when we were standing at his beautiful Red Charm during one of my visits. ‘Max three to four days she is at her most beautiful’. Well, she is forgiven, is what I thought. She is so beautiful that we will include her in our assortment. No other shortcomings whatsoever. No not at all, on the contrary. She is a very trustworthy Peony, as healthy as a horse and she always gives flowers.

Peonies are flowers everyone loves. When someone sees them for the first time, they always ask what THOSE flowers are, and from that moment on, Peonies are among their favourite flowers.
Planting Peonies:
Plant the Peonies as soon as possible after delivery. A Peony is a perennial plant and feels most at home in the ground. When planting the Peony, make sure that the growing points are neatly upwards and that there is no more than two centimeters of soil on top of the noses . Planting too deep will give a considerably smaller plant with fewer or even no flowers, especially in the first year. Really think about this, planting too deep is the most common mistake.
