Her name says it all for this lovely Peony. Lovely Rose is a somewhat older Peony, that, because of the popularity of the Peony as a garden plant, is making an amazing comeback. Not long ago she got awarded with the title of ‘Excellent Garden plant’. And rightly so, a beautiful robust plant with an abundance of flowers and a unique color.

Planting and caring for peonies

Plant peonies as soon as possible after delivery in a sunny position with nutrient-rich, well-drained soil. Plant herbaceous and Itoh peonies with the growing points facing upwards and cover them with approximately 2 to 3 cm of soil. Avoid planting them too deeply, as this can reduce or even prevent flowering.

Tree peonies, however, should be planted more deeply, with the graft union well below the soil surface. Water thoroughly after planting and keep the soil slightly moist while the plants establish their roots.

Read our complete guide to when and how to plant and care for peonies.

You can order our peonies from around August for the coming planting season. We start shipping from November, so the roots arrive at the right time for planting and can be planted soon after delivery.

Yes. Peonies are perennial plants and can remain in the same position for many years. Once established, they often become stronger and more floriferous from year to year.

We supply our peonies in the largest 3/5-eye size. The number of eyes determines the size of the peony and gives the plant a strong starting point for growth.
