Hello Josephine, how do you do. I always have to think of it when I see this Lily blooming so exuberantly again. The song seems to fade away a bit and I think that many ladies named Josephine are not really sad about that. Fortunately, for us garden lovers there is always that Lily that is perhaps just as beautiful as the song. You do have to like pink a bit but I think that even people who do not like it can still appreciate this Lily because we will not see many as beautiful pink as Josephine. She is short, fast and sturdy and is therefore perfect for use in flower boxes and large pots. And, when her large flowers bloom in large numbers, they truly form that pink cloud that we would all like to sit in.

Lilies

The Lily is a real recommendation for the garden, beautiful plants that bloom for weeks and, if they are happy, come back for years. If you have no experience with lilies in your garden, you can always look at our site under Flower bulb information / Lilies. Here you will find an extensive description of How to plant and care for Lilies.

Planting Lilies:
Lilies need fertile, well-drained soil with a thick layer of humus. They like moist, but not too wet soil. Plant them between October and April, even during frost. Lilies can withstand cold well, provided they are not exposed to too much wind and rain. Dig a trench 10-15 cm deep, loosen the soil and add fertilizer or humus if necessary. Plant the bulbs with the point upwards and cover with soil. Keep 25-30 cm distance between the bulbs, plant them in groups of three or five.
