What a rewarding little wild bulb this is. She flowers abundantly, returns well, and if she grows in a patch of undisturbed garden, she happily seeds herself around. Sun or shade, it makes no difference to her; she simply carries on flowering with the same generosity.
I have her in the orchard myself, where she does so well that even the weeds are pushed aside. By the time she flowers in mid-May, the weather is often better too, so you can enjoy her to the full.
