A Day in Fluwel's World
This Friday the Fluwel and Land van Fluwel teams visited the yearly Flower Bulb Business Days around Burgerbrug, a special exhibition where growers from the surrounding area come together to showcase their latest flower bulb varieties. Unlike a public show, this event is mostly for professionals in the industry, giving them a chance to see new developments, including many exciting varieties that don’t even have names yet. Jan Hein, who grows some of the bulbs you can find on our website, was hosting one of the exhibitions, giving us a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the industry.
Fluwel's Daffodils
You might be wondering why the flowers are already in bloom now, well, the growers are “forcing” them to bloom earlier than they naturally would. The flowers in our own gardens will follow in a few weeks, giving us that first real taste of spring. Seeing all these varieties inspired us to introduce our newest webstore addition: Fluwel Experience, where this year you can also come and see the bulbs for yourself in the show garden!
A Day in Fluwel's World
Step outside the ordinary for a day and immerse yourself in the colorful world of Fluwel. On this exclusive spring experience, you’ll get to explore the story behind our love for flower bulbs and the Fluwel company.
What can you expect?
We'll welcome you at our place from 10:30 AM with coffee, tea, and homemade pastries. A Fluwel expert will then guide you on a personal tour of our show and picking gardens, home to a wide variety of special Tulips. You’ll hear the stories behind the bulbs, learn to see them like an expert, and experience spring at its very best.
Around 12:45 PM, you'll enjoy a delicious lunch at our adventure park, Land van Fluwel, with views over the flower bulb fields.
In the afternoon, we'll visit the Daffodil Show Garden at the back of the property, where you can marvel at the enormous variety of Daffodils.
Around 3:00 PM, we'll return to the Tulip show garden to wrap up this special day together.
You'll go home with:
- 🪣 a bucket of freshly picked Tulips
- 🌸 a box of Dahlias to enjoy later
- lots of fascinating bulb stories

- Price: €95 per person
- Maximum 15 people per day
- Date: last week of April 2026 (exact date to be determined; we will contact you)
- Are you unexpectedly unable to attend? Then you'll receive a €95 voucher for our shop.
