Fritillaria imperialis Rubra Maxima

In just a few weeks time, somewhere early in spring, this imperial plant bursts with incredible force into one of the largest, most beautiful plants in your garden. During this time its strength and power are almost tangible, a highlight in every spring garden. Awesome! As summer conditions in Western Europe are not ideal for this Fritillaria that originates from Turkey and Iran, it usually lasts only a few years. Should you want to try and keep the bulb, lift it as soon as the leaves wither and store it at temperatures above 20° Celsius before planting it again in October.
