Duchesse de Nemours

It could be true that the grandma of my grandma already had this Peony in her garden. The Duchesse de Nemours got introduced in 1856. It says a lot about a plant when they have been around for such a long time: she is just exceptionally good. She is not tormented by any kinds of ailments and easy to grow. If this would not be the case, she simply would have been left behind by the growers someday. Okay, of course it helps that she is incredibly beautiful. But aside from that she radiates power in your garden even despite her old age. Beautiful dark leaves and an abundance of flowers that open well. Because she is so easy to grow and of good quality, she is, luckily for us gardeners, one of the more affordable Peonies.
