We deliver your flower bulbs at the right planting time in the autumn!

As the description of this variety is the same as for Red Crown Imperials, I’ll tell you the story of the proud Fritillaria (from the book Toveren met Bollen by Jacqueline van der Kloet). As Jezus was on His way to Golgotha to be crucified, all flowers bend their heads respectfully – all except the Crown Imperial. God was furious with the plant for showing no respect, and as criminal penalty He made it keep its flowers hanging down from that moment on. Every single flower contains large drops of nectar: tears of sorrow Crown imperialis still sheds over its pride and bad behaviour.
