Description

This special wild growing species tulip originates from the Chimgan valley in Uzbekistan. A wasteland were people do everything by horse, eat very salt goatcheese and wear funny caps. So sais our college Eric Breed who has been there. Inhabitors live as nomades in ridge tents called yurds and are very hospital, they wait as long as it takes to finish your piece of oversalted goat cheese. In the train you can buy everything: horsebits, chopping knives, ice cream, whips ect ect. The tulip Tsimganica is just as colourful as the people overthere. She is closely related to tulipa kaufmanniana but in every way much better: stronger colour, larger flowers and much longer lasting. We build a stock from a handful of bulbs that Eric bought overthere on a local market and we are pleased that we finally can offer Tsimganica.
