The Pink Irene is what she is called among Bulbgrowers. This is because she is a sport of one of our most famous tulips; the Prinses Irene. And what a tulip she is, in my opinion the utmost beautiful tulip within the large group of tulips that are related to Prinses Irene.
Her subtle nuances of sultry pastel pinks; truly amazing. Prinses Irene and her siblings (so also Pretty Princess) are exceptional all round tulips that can be used for many purposes. Great in the border, excellent for pots and tubs but also very usable for cut flower production during the winter.
Pretty Princess: a modern tulip of today with pink tones of ancient times.
