Madonna's Hung Up

This lively, abundant mix consists of three Tulips with exactly the same characteristics. The red and yellow are colour mutants from the older Parrot Tulip ‘Madonna’. Madonna has been successful for over 50 years, ever since 1960, in both the gardening- and the cut flower world.

But if you are looking for Tulips who behave themselves and whom are going to be standing neatly side by side like soldiers, Madonna is not for you. The Madonna’s do what they want. They dance, swing, spin and hung every direction up. Delightfully eccentric, a tiny bit provocative, a little naughty, but most of all absolutely gorgeous.

I totally understand why that successful singer and artist rom Michigan named herself after this flamboyant tulip.
