Apples and Oranges

A fitting name for this colourful, early flowering mix; the colours of a fruit bowl. The Tulips in this mix are a bright red selection from the wild Tulipa fosteriana and an orange mutant of the same red fosteriana. Fun fact: these Tulips grow in nature in central Asia. Unfortunately, I have never had the pleasure of seeing this myself but in countries like Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan, this beautiful flower grows in the wild. Like many species, the Tulipa fosteriana has many appearances, and in her own natural habitat, she shows many variances in colour, flower, and size. This fosteriana selection appears to be one of the best; her big flowers and bright colours are unique. If Apples and Oranges enjoys your garden, they can grow back for many years in a row.
