From my perspective, this is the only true ‘Cleopatra’s needle’. It is the most beautiful and the most white Eremurus. It has slender well-stocked flowers that grow up to be 1,70 meters long. I know that other species are also called Cleopatra’s needle, but in my opinion, no other Eremurus except the Eremerus robustus, can be compared to the beauty of the Eremerus himalaicus. It cannot be denied that Eremerus robustus is the most impressing, but the Eremerus himalaicus is in my opinion the most beautiful. Another positive aspect of the himalaicus is that after blooming she is covered with seed pods entirely, which contributes to her elegance. Additionally, because her length reaches till approximately eye level, she will definitely be an eyecatcher. Plant her as soon as possible after receiving her on a good permeable soil with a depth of approximately 10 centimers, and in case of frost cover her with a layer of humus, turf, or straw.
