Amaryllis Strong King

Another one of those magnificent new Amaryllises from grower Bram van Staalduinen. Strong King has large flowers that show an unusually pretty colour scheme. Naming her was not easy, but it seems like this beautiful Amaryllis is going to be known as Strong King. Her first name was Winter Delight, but unfortunately that did not get approved. Bram then wanted to name her Formidable… also rejected. Strong King seems to be the name for now, but for the moment I am also naming her Formidable, because you never know whether the name Strong King is actually going to get approved.

But about the Amaryllis: Formidable looks formidable in the living room, it would not surprise me if she is going to be one of the big ones in the future.
