A happy name for such a happy Daffodil. At first sight, Smiling Sun looks like a bi-clour Daffodil of normal seize on the pictures. But in reality, she is not: she is a little bit smaller – which means she is perfectly fit for flowerpots and planters – and her flowers are a little smaller. However these characteristics, she still excels in beauty. I have seen her for years now in the Poldertuin in Anna Paulowna in which she has the competition of hundreds of other flowerbulbs; and she always is the one that draws your attention first. The bright fresh colors and her neat appearance never let you down. Standing perfectly straight with her dark green leaves and beautifully shaped flowers that are accentuated by the special yellow halo that is formed around her crown and is shown on the silver white perianth. Smiling Sun may be at first sight an ordinary Daffodil, but when you plant her in your own garden you will find out how unique and beautiful she actually is.
