This luxuriant plant from Japan was already used a lot in the 19th century in Victorian gardens. She is popular called The Queen of Lilies. And she still is, with her large, nicely coloured and fragrant blossoms an eye catcher in the garden. Do not plant her in full sun, half shadow or preferably filtered light is what she loves. And a loose, slightly acid soil rich of organic matter is what she loves most. Once she feels comfortable in your garden she will be there for many many years.
