Heleen Valstar is a very nice woman that I’ve known for years, mostly form the Keukenhof and flowershows. At every place that contains nice flower arrangements, I see Heleen, in her hand a pair of tongs, standing on small stairs, arranging the nicest bouquets and giving advice to younger florists on how to make the most beautiful arrangement. With great ease Heleen knows how to turn flowers into works of art. So when you’re ever in need of something special for a party, wedding, you name it: google Heleen Valstar and you’re ensured of the best flower arrangements in the world. Knowing this, you can imagine how happy I was when I found a beautiful, bright red tulip by the name of Heleen Valstar this last spring. I saw her at a distance, a color that just can’t be missed. I had to drive pretty far off the road, over a sandy road close to the village Grote Keten on the land of grower Hoornsman from Julianadorp. It was love at first sight when I saw her up close, she was gorgeous. A fantastic red color and a beautiful shape, a tulip the way a tulip is supposed to be.
