My French is not so good so I googled her name. Belle Epoque means ‘the good period’ and the French mean with Belle Epoque the period before the first World War. The good old days when the Eiffel Tower was build, the first Tour de France, the first car, the first film and the first Can Can dance. The colors of Belle Epoque kind of suit this time, she reminds of the old days, something antique.
