Dahlia La Luna

This truly is a delightful Dahlia: she has large, cream-coloured flowers with a little bit of vanilla. In the well-kept gardens of Castle Keukenhof, where I am a frequent visitor in the late summer months, Dahlia La Luna stole my heart. When the Dahlias are in bloom I try to go and have a look every two weeks, and every time I was there, this Dahlia was in full bloom. Not with the staggering amount of flowers some other Dahlias have, just two or three flowers per plant, but with a colour that will never fail to make you happy. She is always bright and shiny. If you look closely, you can see that the creamy white and the yellow are not mixed together, but rather two separate colours. But from a distance, she really lives up to her name: like the moon in a clear night sky.
