The birthplace of this beauty is the English canal island Jersey. There she was created by Mr. Vandervliet, a grower who mainly grew Daffodils to pick the flowers. However, I first met her in Cornwall at Vandervliet’s son. There she was right in between her sisters Besame Mucho and Infinite Joy, being incredibly beautiful with her countless flowers. It was love at first sight, incredible all those flowers.
Lace Seedlings, were their names at the time, I have to remember those three, I thought to myself. When I encountered 2 of these varieties, which had reached holland over time, I did not hesitate to buy them. Now, A Million Kisses and Besame Mucho are great eye catchers at our nursery. When I had a full vase of them in our living room this year, one of my daughters said: ‘What a sweet little daffodil, it almost looks like kisses’. And so it goes, a great name was created. Because she flowers so richly, I changed it to ‘A Million Kisses’. A fantastic Daffodil, I sincerely hope that you will love ‘A Million Kisses’ as well.
