It was a great surprise when grower Ammerlaan from Anna Paulowna asked me if I wanted to come look at one of his Daffodils. Ammerlaan often calls me if I want to come and look at something and he always has the most interesting and beautiful varieties, so we quickly made an appointment. But this time he really did catch me by surprise: when I got to his nursery he showed me a large party of this truly beautiful Daffodil. He told me it was a variety bred by my father. He had bought her from him years ago and he told me he would love it if I would be the first to sell it. And if perhaps I knew a fitting name for this beauty? Well, a Daffodil with such a tender appearance and refined colour could only have one name: Tender Beauty. Her soft appearance makes you think that Tender Beauty is a fragile Daffodil, but that could not be any less true: she is a sturdy Daffodil with large flowers and a size fitting for good, large-flowered Daffodil.
