A flying crow always finds something. Once I was driving in the neighbourhood of the rural North Holland’s village ‘t Zand into a dead-end road because I thought I saw a flowering field in the distance. It was past half of May and around that time there is not much in bloom anymore, so I decided to check it out. At the end of the Nollenweg, that is what the dead-end road is called, behind a bulb shed I surprisingly run into a sea of tulip flowers with a colour beyond imagination. Lovely creamy white with a cheerful finishing of raspberry coloured blotches and flames. Right away I went to the grower and bought some for my web shop. Carrousel is a very late blooming and robust but cheerful tulip, great to finish the spring season.
