Full in the break, stop the car. That is what I did when I was cruising through Breezand and notices a field with beautiful blooming Anemones with a colour I had never seen before. Not much later I found myself at the edge of the field shooting pictures like a Japanese tourist of this breathtaking ocean of blue. What a heavenly colour. I could see this was a colour variation of the well-known Anemone blanda White Splendour but wondered who the grower would be. They had to be from Karel Kesteloo is what I thought, and why did this comrade never offer them to me. I called him right away, and yes, he was the grower. Nice Anemone Karel, what is her name, and can I buy some? Blue Splendour is what Karel said, I found her myself in my White Splendour's and yes, if you like you can offer them in the Fluwel web shop. The Blue Splendour is a wonderful addition the Anemones and she will perfectly blend with Hyacinths, Tulips and Daffodils. But planting a carpet of just Anemone blanda Blue Splendour will also create an eye-catcher in the garden.
