The first year the flower blooms in April, and once perennialized, bloom starts substantially earlier. An anemone that has a talent for perennializing and spreading, with cheerful little flowers in different shades of lilac blue that make for a bright and happy little carpet early in spring. Here planted next to my house under Horse-chestnuts or Conker trees, mixed with Lucille’s Glory-of-the-snow (Chionodoxa). A very pretty sight.
