In the Amsterdam Tulip Museum, our museum in Amsterdam, we recommend people to buy this tulip when they ask for tulips that look like the flamed tulips that were so popular and that people paid incredible sums of money for in the 17th century. Even though it is not an exact copy, the tulip gives an impression of the Sempre Augustus tulip and the Zomerschoon tulip that were traded for lots of money in 1637. The tulip in the photograph is in the tea garden of Jacqueline van der Kloet.
